Are minors eligible to become members? 
Minors 16+ may open their own membership and savings accounts, while parents or guardians can open a sub-share for minors under 16.
 
Are Savings Deposits Insured?
All deposits are insured by NCUA up to $250,000 and by MSIC for amounts over $250,000.
 
Do you have any special programs for military members?
While we don't currently offer specific programs for military members, we’re proud to serve everyone with great rates, personalized service, and a strong commitment to our community. All are welcome to join NESC Credit Union!
Does NESC Credit Union offer wire transfer services?
Yes, NESC Credit Union offers domestic wire transfer services. Members can initiate wire transfers by visiting one of our branch locations. There is a $25 fee for this service.
 
What information do I need to send a wire transfer?
To send a wire transfer, you'll need the following:
 
  • Your information: Name, address, account number, and contact details.
  • Recipient's information: Name, address, and account number or IBAN.
  • Bank details: Recipient's bank name, address, and routing number.

What information do I need to provide if someone wants to wire money to me?
To receive a wire transfer, you’ll need to provide the following information to the individual sending you the funds:
 
  • Wire to (financial institution): EasCorp, 35 Corporate Drive, #300, Burlington, MA 01803
  • ABA routing number: 211391773
  • For Further Credit to: NESC FCU
  • NESC FCU ABA routing number: 211380302

How can I apply for an auto loan or personal loan?
Applying for a loan is easy! You can apply online anytime or stop by a branch for friendly, personal service!

How long does the loan application process take?
Enjoy a quick and easy process—get approved in just a couple of hours, with closing in less than 1 business day, once all required documents are provided.
 
Do you offer small business loans?
Currently, we do not offer small business loans. However, we’re happy to provide resources and referrals to help you find the right financing. Visit the SBA website at www.sba.gov or explore local community banks and online lenders for more options.
 
Do you offer loans that help with building or rebuilding credit?
Yes, we offer a Credit Builder Loan and a Secured Credit Card to help you establish or improve your credit. These products are designed to support you in building a positive credit history with manageable payments. Contact us to learn more and get started!
What is the limit for ATM Withdrawals and transactions when shopping.
You can withdraw up to $1,000 at ATMs and make purchases up to $3,000 in a day.

What should I do if my debit card is lost or stolen?
Please call 800-472-3272 to report a lost or stolen debit card.

What should I do if I notice fraudulent debit charges on my account?
Please contact us at 978-688-8800 or stop by one of our branch locations.

How do I Reset my Debit Card Pin?
Simply call 1-800-757-9848 to reset your bin.

Can I get a new or replacement card at a branch?
Yes! We issue debit cards at our branch locations, no waiting.
 
Do you offer rewards for debit card usage?
We currently do not offer debit cards rewards.
 
Do you sell prepaid debit cards?
No, we do not sell prepaid debit cards.
Do you currently Offer or Redeem Savings Bonds?
We don’t currently offer or redeem Savings Bonds. For assistance, we recommend visiting TreasuryDirect.gov, the official U.S. government site for Savings Bonds, or contacting the U.S. Department of the Treasury directly.
 
Do you offer Business Accounts?
We currently do not offer Business Accounts. However, we recommend checking with local community banks or credit unions that specialize in business services or or visiting the Small Business Administration at www.sba.gov for helpful resources.
 
Do you offer foreign currency exchange services?
We’re sorry, but we do not handle foreign currency exchange. We recommend checking with local banks or currency exchange services for assistance.
What steps are involved in transferring my accounts to NESC Credit Union?
Once you open your account with NESC Credit Union, use our Switch Kit Form to help you transfer funds to your new account, setup direct deposits and automatic payments with your new account information, and then close your old account.
 
How do I set up direct deposits on my NESC account?
Use our Switch Kit Form to help you! Provide your employer, government agency, or other payer with NESC’s routing number, 211380302, and your account number.
 
Can NESC Credit Union help me close my old accounts at other banks?
Yes, we can guide you through the process to make it simple. Download the Switch Kit Form today!
What should I do if I suspect fraudulent activity on my account?
Contact Us immediately to report the issue.

Are there any alerts or notifications available for suspicious account activity?
Yes, you can set up account alerts through online banking or the mobile app.
 
What should I do if I think my Online or Mobile Banking account has been compromised?
Reset your password and contact our Member Contact Center at 978-688-8800 or stop by one of our branch locations if you notice any unauthorized transactions.

How can I report a lost or stolen check?
Contact Us to place a stop payment on the check(s).

What steps should I take if I believe my identity has been stolen?
Contact NESC Credit Union, file a report with the FTC, and consider placing a fraud alert on your credit report.
 
How do I place a fraud alert on my credit report?
To place a fraud alert on your credit report, contact one of the three major credit bureaus:  Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion.
Can I get pre-approved for a home mortgage loan?
Yes, we offer mortgage preapprovals to help you shop with confidence.

Can I refinance my mortgage loan from another financial institution?
Yes, you can refinance your mortgage loan with us and enjoy competitive rates and personalized service.
 
What documents do I need to provide for my mortgage loan application?
  • For home purchases, you'll need to provide your W-2s and most recent pay stub.
  • For refinances, you'll need these documents as well as your mortgage statement and prior year's property tax bill.
What is the difference between a home equity loan and a home equity line of credit (HELOC)?
A home equity loan gives you a lump sum with fixed payments, while a home equity line of credit (HELOC) lets you borrow as needed, up to a limit, with variable payments. Explore more information here!

How long does the loan approval process take for mortgages and home equity loans?
  • Mortgage: Approval within 1 business day, with closing typically occurring within 4 weeks.
  • Home Equity: Approval within 1 business day. Closing typically takes 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the loan amount.
What should I do if my credit card is lost or stolen?
Please call 1-800-449-7728 to report a lost or stolen credit card.

What should I do if I notice fraudulent charges on my account?
Call our Visa Credit Card Customer Service Center at 1-866-820-4845 to report fraudulent charges.

Do you have fraud alerts to help protect my card?
We offer fraud alerts to protect your account. If a transaction is flagged as suspicious, you will be contacted by email, text, and a digital call to confirm if you authorized it.

How do I place a travel notice on my card?
You can place a travel notice by calling us, visiting a branch, or messaging securely online. Please give us 1-2 days' notice.
 
Why should I place a travel notice on my credit card?
Placing a travel notice helps prevent your card from being flagged for suspicious activity while you're away. It lets us know your purchases in different locations are expected, so you can use your card without interruptions.

How do I place a freeze on my credit?
You can freeze your credit for free with each bureau to prevent new accounts from being opened in your name. Your existing accounts stay active, and you can still use your cards and pay loans. Visit their websites or call to request a quick and reversible freeze.
 
How can I access my credit report?
You can get a free copy of your credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus—Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion—once a year at AnnualCreditReport.com. It’s the only site authorized by federal law to provide free reports.
